We are a non-profit Social, Educational and Charitable Organization dedicated to improving the lives of the elderly, supporting students' education, and providing disaster relief to those affected. Our mission is to create a better future for all, and we believe that every abandoned and poverty-stricken individual will have a hope that there is someone taking care of them in their old age.
Silanthi is in its initial stage with the vision of creating a home where old and homeless people would have all basic necessities of life. We believe in serving such a community with love, compassion, respect, and give comforting service in par excellence. We are committed to being transparent and accountable in all that we do, and we work hard to ensure that every dollar we receive goes towards supporting our cause.
Our programs and initiatives are designed to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. We are planning to operate ‘a care home’ for the elderly, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to live in, with staff members who are trained to cater to their needs. We also offer medical assistance and counseling services to help improve the well-being of the senior citizens in our residence.
In addition, we have a program that provides financial assistance to students who cannot afford their education. This program aims to ensure that every deserving student especially from a single parent families has access to quality education and can fulfill their aspirations. Additionally, Silanthi provides mentorship and guidance to the students to help them excel in their studies.
In times of natural disasters, Silanthi plays an active role in providing relief and support to those affected. We have a team of volunteers and experts who work tirelessly to provide aid, including food, shelter, and medical assistance, to those in need.
Since Silanthi is ‘a mission with hope’, we are committed to creating a better future for those who are abandoned and nobody to support them in their old age. In the rural areas there are many seniors, incapable of working on a daily basis. Often, they are neglected and nobody hires them. We believe that together with people who feel that people should not die of starvation, make a big difference and bring about a positive impact and create a lasting change in our community and beyond. I warmly welcome you! Silanthi is a non-profit, social, educational and charitable organization. It has been a long-time dream of mine that I work for the senior citizens of rural areas. I see so many people that are dying of hunger, and thirst for human love and affection. I see so many people on the roadside putting out either their hands or plates expecting some charity (any type of support) from kind hearted people like you.
I am blessed with a sufficient income to take care of myself. I don’t need anything for myself but when I look at the dying, abandoned and downtrodden, I have to look for some sort of support from generous people like you. My aim is to bring any person who does not have anybody to support them or people who, in their old age, cannot work because of their age and health issues, and alleviate their suffering of loneliness by providing them with shelter, food, clothing and medical aid.
It needs lots of courage, a good will and self-sacrifice to forego self-comfort and work for these abandoned people who look for human kindness and comforting words and a generosity with positive actions. I am doing this service with joy and love. I want to see a smiling face on every individual who comes to this home.
Apart from the project of Old age home, I continue to provide educational scholarship to those who are from a single parent family, and economically challenged, in their college studies and also supporting them to pursue either master’s degree or a diploma certificate course that would help them get a suitable job and support their families.
Finally, this organization helps the victims of all natural disasters of any kind.
