Activities

Silanthi a nonprofit, Social, Educational and Charitable Organization will focus on the mission of the organization. The organization has three missions or objectives: A. Social, B. Educational and C. Charitable work for those affected by natural calamity.

Social Activity: Taking care of the senior citizens especially in a remote area/village. They are very old, and cannot work any longer, based on their health conditions. If they get a job, they may have food and it totally depends on the availability of work..

Providing board and food, and clothing and medical care are the most important projects of the organization around the world and in particular in Tamil Nadu, India. These are our potential residents in the old age home.

  • An Ambulance shall be purchased for moving any resident during emergency.

Modus Operandi

How Silanthi will function/carry out recruiting the beneficiaries?

  • Identify the beneficiaries living in the remote areas / villages. They must not have any family members. They are seniors and cannot work any longer. They are daily wagers. There is no caste or religion or language.
  • Bring them and have a total/master medical checkup and get the medical report. Having been admitted to our old age home, have a medical checkup periodically once a month.
  • Take those beneficiaries to the nearest police station and submit personal information along with their medical report. Report to the police station with their general health condition and medical report.
  • If any of the resident dies, first examine the cause of death, report to the police station and according to their religious belief either cremate or bury the death person.
  • Have minimum of two paid nurses each for male ward and female ward to assist in any need arises.
